Three convicted felons in New Orleans indicted on federal charges (Jobs new orleans)

NEW ORLEANS -- In the continuing effort by federal officials to help fight crime in New Orleans, three convicted felons were indicted on federal charges for possession of firearms.
NEW ORLEANS Calling it a bright spot in a city still going through difficult times 18 months after Hurricane Katrina, President Bush visited one of New Orleans' 31 charter schools, praising local efforts to change a school system that was struggling even before the storm.
NEW ORLEANS The Louisiana Supreme Court has heard arguments on whether to go along with its lawyer disciplinary board's recommendation to disbar veteran New Orleans plaintiff attorney Joe Bruno over admitted ethics violations he committed more than 15 years ago in a high profile federal class-action lawsuit.

New Salmonella Cases Reported (Jobs new orleans)

BINGHAMTON, New York (AP) - The State Department of Health reported several more salmonella cases tied to tainted peanut butter in New York State. At least 41 people in 19 counties have gotten sick from the specific type of salmonella found in some Peter Pan and Great Value peanut butter.
